Thanks to all who turned up for AGM - and a warm welcome to Billy Dunsford
to the committee!!! Ian Chester remains as chairman - (in fact there are no
changes to committee members,) Colin Spencer is treasurer, Carol Inman is
membership secretary and Judith Baxter is secretary. Regretably Joe has
felt it necessary to resign due to other committments, which will benefit
the club - so we can't complain too much.
We have achieved quite a lot this season. The biggest change has been to to
replace the half time bingo with a raffle, at first we were doubtful if this
would work - but it has.- 'Thank you' to all of you who have continued to
support us so generously. The raffle has also been popular with away
supporters and we'd like to extend thanks to them also, as a Halifax
supporter said - 'we are all in this together - we have to help each
other.' - how true!!
With your help we have provided the flooring for the new First Aid room -
very necessary, in compliance with health & safety regulations. In fact
this season has mostly been concerned with contibuting to health and safety
at the club. There wouldn't be a club if it didn't take health and safety
seriously!!!
As a final note - we'd like to invite anyone who has the Cougars at heart to
join us. There aren't many of us on the committee now and any new ideas,
fresh input, an infusion of enthusiasm could work wonders - please consider
joining us. We will continue to do our best for the club we love - can you
help?
